I have a challenge for you and, since I don't know if there is actually some special way to do this, I'm putting it here. And maybe anywhere else I see fit.
I am trying to create a comic book, but my drawing skills are, well, lacking. Even spending hours on a drawing, proportions and just general believability simply are not my thing. So, the idea of this is that you will help out by sending me sketches and then I'll choose someone (or multiple people) to collaborate with.
I've got the story idea, and the characters and logistics of it worked out, but I need an artist. Draw the main character, preferably in a heroic pose, though I'll accept anything (no pornography, please).
Construct (aka Valarie Cummings)
Age: 16 (though I have another storyline in which she is 27, so take your pick)
Height: 5'
Weight: 108 lbs
Race: Caucasian/Adatelian (Adatelian is an alien race with purple-tinged skin and very little hair. This is on her mother's side)
Hair: Short (think Halle Berry or Natalie Portman length) and some outrageous color (she is constantly dying it)
Eyes: Dark Brown as Valarie (have fun with Construct)
Build: Slightly muscular with an hourglass figure
Markings/Daily Wear: Biker-girl or Punk tattoos/piercings (otherwise, don't bother with them). Modern
Intelligence: Slightly above average (technically low-scale genius, excels in languages, history, and literature)
Speed: Average for a young woman with moderate exercise
Strength: Average for a young woman with moderate exercise
Stamina: Above average, due to less need for oxygen
Combat: Untrained at first , later learns kickboxing and karate
Powers: Creates purple (or whatever color scheme you choose) mental constructs which remain in existence until she destroys them (they do not disappear if she loses focus). "shallow breathing" (requires less oxygen). Later develops mild telekinesis.
Weapons: Force field mental construct (nothing can get in or out). Mental construct daggers. Mental construct Colt Anaconda (the only type of gun she knows well enough to create. Here's a site for pictures and some background: www.vintagepistols.com/range_r…). Anything else she can create. Later finds Adatelian sword/staff.
Costume: Recommended Purple and Silver. Nothing slutty. Wears every day clothing for fighting until later when she constructs her own costume (so have it match whatever construct weapons she has). Either comfortable like Lara Croft or protective. Remember physics and what it means for girls, please
Favorite Color: Purple
Pet: Black cat with green eyes named Elwyn (Ellie)
General: Prefers nighttime, enjoys reading and writing, not good with computers, independent, gives off a vibe of being cruel or violent (though is very sweet and loyal)
REMEMBER PHYSICS!!!! (if it would break your back, don't make her do it)
Thank you.

Contradictions in the Mirror
Everybody is always telling me who I am supposed to be. They tell me I am not nice enough and that I am a doormat. They tell me that I am too unfocused and that I am a control freak. These things they tell me I am seem to contradict themselves, but they do not. I seem to contradict myself, but I do not. Yet, I am not the things they tell me I am. I am the things that I choose to be. Today I am a writer and a baker, who happens to go to work. Tomorrow I may be a worker who writes in her spare time. The day after that I may be a musician and an older sister who makes spirit stones for my brother when he is sick.
What we see and know is only an
This is Important!!!!
Child abuse is a serious crime that is unfortunately swept under the rug too often in conversation. I am looking for stories or artwork about child abuse. I have a site (deafanddumbprevention.webs.com) that is dedicated to spreading awareness about child abuse and standardizing training for mandatory reporters of child abuse. Should you be willing to create something for this cause, either post it directly on the site, post it on here and message me, or send it to d.a.d.prevention@gmail.com. If it is autobiographical, or biographical- please indicate so. Otherwise, I will assume it is fictitious (which is not any less important or useful). An
Devious Journal Entry
I have recently realized that one of the things that annoys me the most is when I am trying to write or speak and I know exactly what I mean, but a whole bunch of irrelevant words come to my mind while the one I am searching for dances just out of mindsight. Thesauruses do not help when you can't think of the original word. Dictionaries have no use either if you can't find any way to define the word because the irrelevant words keep getting in the way. This may be one of the leading causes of unfinished works in my life.
